Actor
Noah Reilly
To me, the people I portray are not simply characters, they are people. My job as an actor is to represent humanity like it is. There is no pretending when it comes to my craft, like some people might believe acting to be. Now, I am not a method actor, when I draw from my personal life, and it relates to the character, it feels personal and real, like making a new friend. This type of bonding between me and a “character” can, and does, relate to the audience as well. And that is the best reward I can ever ask for when I finish a performance.

A quote that stuck with me was, "Theatre is a mirror, a sharp reflection of society. One must let the play happen to one; to gather rather than immediately understand." - Yasmina Reza. The whole craft of theater, film, television…all of it is a conversation, not just with the audience, but with everyone. With the actor, the director, the writer, gaffer, set designer, everyone. We are storytellers. You can’t tell a story unless it was communicated through someone else. And retelling all of these stories is rather addicting.
